This is a great description of how human brains work compared to current neural networks which are relatively energy-inefficient and cannot learn new things after being trained on a model. It also explains the next steps in AI will be the refinement of liquid neural networks and then spiking neural networks using neuromorphic chips that will facilitate the use of spiking neural networks. These will make AI less expensive, more energy efficient and enable continuous learning without full retraining with a new model.
